when it seems like someone likes u, they give u attention, they laugh at your stupid jokes, they hang around u and stuff, so u get good attention that makes them seem like a really cool person so u start to like them, but if it doesnt seem like they do, like they may talk to you and hang with u sometime but u really dont sense any real attention there, u dont get to see this awesome side to them, so u dont find the connection, and if you already like them and then u find out they dont like u
